ANGIRAS AND VEDS

In this web site mainly the contribution of Angiras and his son Rahugan along with Rishi Gautam and his sons is written. The contribution of other Rishis belonging to the line of Angiras like Brihaspati, Bharadvaj, etc. is not much mentioned in this web site.

The below information about the contribution of Angiras and his descendents is personally collected by me (Dr. Gaurav A. Vyas) by reading the Rig Ved Samhita, Yajur Ved Samhita, Sam Ved Samhita and Atharv Ved Samhita.

Many people have translated the mantras of Vedas in simple form according to their knowledge. The Vedas are referred from M.J. Library (Ahmedabad - Gujarat), Arya Samaj (Raipur - Ahmedabad - Gujarat), etc.

Different authors have used different words like Sukt, Anuvaka, Mandal, Adhyai, Kandam, Book and some authors have directly written mantras number and its founder Rishis name. What all information that I got from various Ved books I have kept it together.

The Rishis name can be found in all the four Vedas but the Numbers, Sukt, Anuvak, Mandal, Adhyai, Kandam, Book, etc. can change from one book to another as the Vedas are translated by Various Authors.
