MIGRATION FROM CHATRAL

12. Migration from Chatral :

Mulraj Solanki gifted Vyas family Chatral Village after we performed perform pran pratishatha of his palace called Rudra mahal located in Siddhpur.

From Siddhpur we settled in Chatral and than shifted to Lakhtar to Wadhwan to Ahmedabad.

The reason for shifting of Idhar Vyas family from Chatral to Lakhtar is unclear to me and there are no records in our family pointing towards it. but there is possible reason which I am mentioning below.

Possible reason for migrating from Chatral to Lakhtar :

From the calculation I need to point at family tree so that people can understand calculation.

Gaurav → Arunkumar → Trambaklal → Vadilal → Morarji → Karsanji → Mahashankar → Dallaji → Gangadhar → Idhar...

No.
Name Approx. Age Difference
Approx. Date of Birth
1. Dalla Ji
1814
2. Mahashankar
20
1834
3. Karsan Ji
20
1854
4. Morar Ji
20
1874
5. Vadilal
20
1894
6. Trambaklal
20
1914
7. Arunkumar
25
1939
8. Gaurav
41
1980

Here in calculation we have taken age difference from Mahashankar D. vyas till Vadilal M. Vyas of 20 years because during that old period people used to get married soon and from Trambaklal V. Vyas till Dr. Gaurav A. Vyas we have calculated age difference according to the birth date because from that period people used to get married late.

Vadilal M. Vyas had made a Family tree in which he had written that Dallaji Migrated to Lakhtar and from there he came to Wadhwan. The 3 children's of Dallaji namely Rupji, Mahashankar and Ramchandra in the year 1849 constructed their own houses in Wadhwan.

In Wadhwan city Vyas family ancestors had Agriculture farms.

At present the year is 2020 and hence we do following calculation :

Present year 2020

Dallaji Approx. birth period 1814

Now,

2020 - 1814 = 206 years.

Now, we check about the incidents which happened during 1814 A.D.

Maratha Empire (1756–1819) :

When the cracks had started to develop in the edifice of the Mughal empire in the mid-17th century, the Marathas were consolidating their power in the west, Chatrapati Shivaji, the great Maratha ruler, attacked Surat twice first in 1664 and again in 1672. These attacks marked the entry of the Marathas into Gujarat. However, before the Maratha inroads into Gujarat, the Europeans had made their presence felt, with the Portuguese leading them, followed by the Dutch and the English.

The Peshwas had established their sovereignty over Gujarat including Saurashtra, and collected taxes and tributes through their representatives. Damaji Gaekwad and Kadam Bande divided the Peshwa's territory between them, with Damaji establishing the sway of Gaekwad over Gujarat and made Baroda (present-day Vadodara) his capital. The ensuing internecine war among the Marathas were fully exploited by the British, who interfered in the affairs of both Gaekwads and the Peshwas.

The British also embarked upon their policy of Subsidiary Alliance. With this policy they established their paramountcy over one princely state after another. Anandrao Gaekwad joined the Alliance in 1802 and surrendered Surat and adjoining territories to the British. In the garb of helping the Marathas, the British helped themselves, and gradually the Marathas' power came to an end, in 1819 in Gujarat. Gaekwad and other big and small rulers accepted the British Paramountcy.

Loss of Revenue :

There were many power wars in Gujarat between Mughals, Marathas, etc.

When Mulraj Solanki gifted Vyas family Chatral Village we used to get revenue from Chatral village which stopped due to Marathas.

This can be possible reason for reason for leaving Chatral.

Lakhtar :

In Lakhtar the incident of Sati happened in our family and Dallaji came from Lakhtar to Wadhwan. It is unclear about how Mr. Mahashankar Dallaji Vyas expired and it is his wife Lalbai who became Sati and her pillar is still there in Lakhtar.
